An Embarrassment of Riches

Here is an example of too much of a good thing:  Last Sunday we had more students at our monthly open practice than we could fit into our practice space.  In this new year we will hopefully be divvying up into smaller specialized groups for more frequent practice sessions, plus special classes on the sciences of the 13th through 17th centuries.

REMEMBER- our next open meeting is January 18th at 1:30pm at the Greene County Library Center on S. Campbell.

The Study of Silver Begins

Over the last few months Richard has led our new crop of students through an overview of German longsword and messer technique.  Having given them a good primer on mechanics and movement, we will be starting a study of the works of the Englishman George Silver and, in particular, our somewhat controversial interpretation of his logical system.  Anyone who is interested in this subject is encouraged to attend our next meeting at The Library Center on South Campbell in Springfield Missouri at 1 pm on Sunday December 7th.  This initial 4 hour presentation will be repeated early next year, so stay tuned.
